In Vivo Imaging
The In Vivo Department focuses its activities on multimodal preclinical imaging, including isotopic techniques (PET, SPECT, and autoradiography), X-ray imaging (µCT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI 9.4T and 1T), optical imaging (BLI, FLI, and CLI), and photoacoustic imaging (MSOT).
The department supports both industrial and academic partners by developingtailor-made experimental protocols for image acquisition and analysis. These customized approaches are designed to address scientific questions at morphological, functional, and molecular levels using small animal models.
Its research activities cover a broad range of application fields, including oncology, inflammation, drugs biodistribution, skeletal disorders, cell tracking (stem cells, parasites, …), and infectiology, angiology (angiography, hypoxia, …).
The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and includes a dedicated animal housing unit directly connected to the imaging suites, ensuring optimal experimental workflow and compliance with preclinical research standards.
