Applications

A. Cryo Electron Microscopy (CryoEM)

  1. Single Particle Analysis, screening and generation of maps and protein structure models.
  2. Electron tomography (ET) in STEM and TEM modes (room temperature and Cryo conditions)
  3. Liposome analysis (TEM and CryoET)
  4. Bacterial envelope analysis (CryoET)
  5. Generation of segmented tomography 3D volumes.

B. Transmission A. Electron Microscopy (TEM)

  1. Ultra-structural analysis of ultra-thin sections of tissues and isolated cells.
  2. Particle analysis by negative staining of phages, viruses and other nanoparticles.
  3. DNA and RNA imaging by spreading and shadowing techniques.
  4. R oom temperature- and cryo-ultramicrotomy (cryo-sectioning)
  5. I mmuno-gold localisation on resin-embedded ultra-thin sections, or on cryo-sections by the Tokuyasu method.
  6. Sample preparation for all the above mentioned analyses.
