CMMI

The Center for Microscopy and Molecular Imaging (CMMI) in Charleroi has been established with the financial support of the European Union and the Walloon Region (FEDER Convergence Program). Founded by the Académie Universitaire Wallonie-Bruxelles, CMMI brings together expertise of the researchers and academics of the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the Université de Mons to provide an integrated and efficient preclinical imaging platform for the scientific community.  Read more...

CMMI research facilities have state-of-the-art equipment and offer cutting-edge technologies for imaging, ranging from electron microscopy to in vivo animal imaging. The Center is responsible for providing services and training for academic laboratories as well as industrial partners.

Why in the Biopark Charleroi Brussels South ?

The main aim of the CMMI as a leading research center in the field of preclinical imaging is to stimulate and promote the scientific development and intellectual potential of the Region and attract external investments. The Center is located in the Biopark Charleroi Brussels South in the close proximity of the research and academic institutions such as the IBMM (Institute of Molecular Biology and Medicine), the IMI (Medical Immunology Institute), as well as biomedical research companies. This enables close and efficient co-operation between all the parties at the Biopark Charleroi Brussels South, and allows a truly multi-disciplinary exchange of information, ideas and technological advancements in the Region.
