Concours de photographies scientifiques: le CMMI sélectionné!
En juin dernier, le Centre de Microscopie et d'Imagerie Moléculaire (CMMI) s'offrait la couverture de Science: un magnifique cliché illustrant un trypanosome venait illustrer les dernières découvertes du Laboratoire de Parasitologie Moléculaire (IBMM, Faculté des Sciences) sur les mécanismes utilisés par ce parasite pour inhiber la réponse immunitaire de son hôte (revoir le communiqué de presse).
Aujourd'hui, une des photographies de cette publication est sélectionnée pour le concours "National Geographic-FEI": le public peut voter pour les meilleurs clichés pris au microscope, qui seront diffusés par le National Geographic dans un film intitulé "Mysteries of the Unseen World". La photo sélectionnée, reproduite ci-contre, s'intitule "War in Our Human Trenches" et montre le combat entre une cellule immunitaire et un trypanosome, vu au microscope électronique.
